Abstract:
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the NC Center for Geographic Information and Analysis, developed the GIS data set, USGS Stream Gaging Stations for North Carolina River Basins. Data collection at these stations monitors streamflow and quality of water.
Purpose:
This data set was created to assist governmental agencies and others in making resource management decisions through use of a Geographic Information System (GIS).

This file represents all USGS stream-gaging stations within the
Tar-Pamlico River Basin.  This data is considered unverified.
This data set was developed with the best resources available at
the time of its creation.
