ArcUsa Data
Data Description
The ArcUSA dataset was released in 1992 and contains geographic and attribute data for the coterminous United States at two scales: 1:2,000,000 and 1:25,000,000. The data was created by Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) to facilitate thematic mapping of the entire U.S. and of individual states. The geographic data contain states, counties, federal lands, water, place names, transportation, and USGS quadrangle names. Tabular data describing population, agriculture, demographics, and socioeconomics are also included. The data are in ARC/INFO coverage format and can be used in ArcGIS and ArcView.
Data Access
The full ArcUSA data set is available online through the Libraries' Geodata server in the /ArcUSA directory. Complete documentation (requires authentication) is available as a Adobe Acrobat (*.pdf) file (2.5 mb).
