 Historical Note

The mission of the North Carolina State University Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning is to facilitate and support excellence in teaching and enhance student learning. The center is administratively part of the Office of the Provost, and the center's director reports to the Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs.

The center has been involved in recognizing the outstanding achievements of faculty and students engaged in the fundamental work of the university. Teaching awards presented to faculty include Outstanding Teacher, Alumni Distinguished Undergraduate Professor, Alumni Distinguished Graduate Professor, and Board of Governors' Award for Excellence in Teaching.
