Dennis H. Sutton (1897-1962) received a B.S. in Agriculture from North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts (North Carolina State University) in 1920. From the late 1920s through the late 1930s, Sutton worked as an agent for the Agricultural Extension Service at NC State.

 Scope and Content Note

This collection contains appointment books and field notebooks documenting Sutton's work as an agent for the Agricultural Extension Service at North Carolina State College (University). The appointment books contain information on Sutton's meetings throughout the state with farmers and other agricultural personnel, while the notebooks include Sutton's notes on weather, crop conditions, and crop prices. This collection also contains a reference volume on veterinary topics.
