Historical note
The Office of International Services (OIS) at North Carolina State University facilitates the University's global mission in education, research, and community engagement by providing effective educational programs, advising, immigration processing, research and employment support, cross-cultural experiences, and community extension activities. The term “International student” is used to designate students who are not United States citizens or lawful permanent residents of the United States (also known as Resident Aliens, Permanent Residents, and Green Card holders). Most international students who come to NCSU are pursuing a post-baccalaureate or graduate program, but others are enrolled in a bachelors (undergraduate) degree program, an exchange program, or a short-term study program. The OIS provides international students with comprehensive support services including job opportunities, financial aid, and orientation services.
