The records of the North Carolina State University Gregg Museum of Art & Design contain correspondence, memoranda, newsletters,
and exhibition catalogs documenting the activities and exhibits offered by the museum from 1974 to 2009. Also included are
records of the Friends of the Museum from 1983 to 1994, and records kept by Charlotte Brown during her tenure as director
of the museum.
The Gregg Museum of Art & Design is a collecting museum at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. The Gregg Museum
operates under the Division of Student Affairs and is located in the Talley Student Center in the middle of the NCSU campus.
The Gregg’s collecting focus reflects the mission of North Carolina State University and supports its academic programs by
providing research opportunities for NCSU students and the citizens of North Carolina and beyond. The collection includes,
but is not limited to, textiles, ceramics, outsider/folk art, photography, architectural drawings & modern furniture. The
Gregg Museum of Art & Design also puts on 6-8 exhibitions per year in its two galleries, in addition to exhibiting work at
various places in the Talley Student Center and around campus.
