| Abstract: | The Walter Clyburn Taylor Papers consists of papers relating to textiles and their manufacture. These papers represent Taylor’s work for both his sophomore course on carding and spinning and for courses taken during his junior year at the North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts (later North Carolina State University). Included are handwritten and typewritten essays on a variety of subjects. Also present are tables of mechanical settings and several technical drawings for machinery, as well as articles clipped from technical journals and affixed onto pages of the notebook. All the materials in the notebook date from between 1911 and 1912. | |
