Abstract: Papers by many different authors, most of whom were faculty at colleges and universities, about various authors and themes in science fiction. Most are unpublished papers prepared in the late 1970s and early 1980s for presentation at meetings of the Popular Culture Association, Science Fiction Research Association, Society for Utopian Studies, and other organizations. A few reprints of published articles are included. Among the papers are several about Robert Silverberg, Kurt Vonnegut, the city in science fiction, and utopias and dystopias in science fiction.
