Abstract: The David Alexander Lockmiller papers consists of newsclippings and correspondence relating to Lockmiller's History of the North Carolina State College of Agriculture and Engineering of the University of North Carolina, 1889-1939, and the University's 50th and 60th anniversary commemorations. Also included is a copy of R. C. Lawrence's review of Lockmiller's book, as well as a copy of the 1959 Founder's Day address. The majority of the materials are from 1939.

Abstract: The records of the State College Woman's Club (later the North Carolina State University Woman's Club) document the club's history and activities from 1919 to 2003 and include the club constitution and by-laws, annual reports, yearbooks, historical scrapbooks, photographs, membership lists, committee reports, newsletters, correspondence, agendas, minutes, expense and accounting information, and newspaper clippings documenting club, member, and university activities. Cookbooks produced by the group, Favorite Foods From Faculty Kitchens (1974) and Foods That Rate at NC State (1983), are also included. Spouses of many notable NC State professors and administrators were involved in shaping and leading the State College Woman's Club, including Mrs. Zeno Metcalf, Mrs. W. C. Riddick, and Mrs. B. W. Wells.
