This manuscript receipt book contains approximately ninety recipes and formulas on bleaching and dyeing cloths and other materials. Each recipe is titled, and begins with a list of required ingredients and their quantities, and concludes with a brief description of the procedure involved. It is thought to date from the first half of the eighteenth century.
