                <title ns2:type="simple" ns2:href="" render="doublequote">A Lecture Given by the Late George A. Gullette To a Class in Social Studies</title> is a printed version of a talk Gullette gave at North Carolina State University on January 13, 1969. The title Gullette gave this lecture is 
                <title ns2:type="simple" ns2:href="" render="doublequote">Prospects for the Future--The Next Twenty-Five Years.</title> On March 19, 1970 the Friends of the Library distributed copies of the lecture at its annual banquet. In addition, portions of the lecture were read at Gullette's memorial service.</abstract>
            <abstract id="ref3" label="Abstract">George Albert Gullette (1909 - 1969) was the founder and head of the Social Studies Department at North Carolina State College of Agriculture and Engineering (after 1965, North Carolina State University) from 1947 to 1969. He received his B.A. in English literature from Harvard University in 1933, his M.A. from Vanderbilt University in 1934, and his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 1944.</abstract>
