            <abstract id="ref2" label="Abstract">The William Warden Shay papers consist of typed religious and agricultural poems, stories, and letters written by Shay and others. Some of these materials relate to the Super-Ananias Fishing Club. A typed copy of 
                <title ns2:type="simple" ns2:href="" render="doublequote">The Dreams Ahead,</title> by Edwin Carlisle Litsey (1874 - 1970) on letterhead from the 1922 North Carolina Farmers' and Farm Women's Convention is included.</abstract>
            <abstract id="ref3" label="Abstract">William Warden Shay (ca. 1869 - 1937) served as head of Swine Extension at the North Carolina College of Agriculture and Engineering starting in 1918. He was a purebred swine breeder, and wrote poetry as a hobby. Shay lived in Michigan before moving to North Carolina.</abstract>
