Reaching out with Library Orientation and Instruction
Develop and enhance LOBO (Library Online Basic Orientation), an
interactive web tutorial designed to teach basic information-seeking
concepts. Working with librarians from Research and Information
Services, create a library assignment that can be integrated into
LOBO. The assignment would be completed by students as they progress
through the tutorial, enabling them to apply the skills they learn
to the current information environment. Assist with the enhancement
of the LOBO program based on user feedback and with other components
of the library instruction program, such as developing strategies
for integrating basic instructional information into the NCSU Libraries
web, and/or teaching library research skills classes.
