Why can't I save files to the desktop on a PC in the Learning Commons or in the Stacks?
Patron PCs in the Libraries have been switched from a Novell environment to the WolfTech Active Directory environment used in Unity labs. Saving files to the desktop is now disabled, so users will have to save work to their 'K:\' drive/AFS/Unity space (all three are the same thing), or to flash thumb drives.
WolfTech Active Directory doesn't allow roaming profiles, so users' unique wallpaper and configuration settings will not follow them around from PC to PC as they used to.
