Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) |
How do I find a quotation?
There is no single place to search for all quotations but the following approaches may help. First, try searching Google, which might give you a lead. Several electronic resources for finding quotations are available at Bartleby.com.
If you can't locate the quotation online, there are also many books and index quotations. The most famous example is Bartlett's Familiar Quotations, the current edition of which is behind the Reference Desk at D. H. Hill Library at call number PN6081 .B27. There are many other books that collect quotations, often found with call numbers in the PN6081 area. Some are in the reference collection at D.H. Hill, others in the bookstacks on the 5th floor. You can visit both areas to browse quotations books.
