The Film Studies Program at NCSU, A/V Geeks, and NCSU Libraries present Separate or Equal? Three Films About Black Youth in the 60s and 70s.
In commemoration of Black History Month, Dr. Marsha Gordon (NCSU Film Studies) and Skip Elsheimer (the A/V Geek & an NCSU alum) present three rarely seen educational films from the 1960s and 1970s about African American youth. The films depict the challenges of growing up in Watts, dealing with racial epithets, and struggling to find peace in a divided society.
