Dr. Sarah Cannon, edTPA Coordinator and English education instructor in the College of Education at NC State, will lead a discussion of the memoir Hillbilly Elegy. Vance, a former marine and Yale Law School graduate, offers a probing look at the struggles of America’s white working class through the author’s own story of growing up in a poor Rust Belt town.
