Lev Grossman - North Carolina Literary Festival
Lev Grossman is an American novelist and journalist, notably the author of the novels Warp, Codex (which became an international bestseller), The Magicians (a New York Times bestseller and named by The New Yorker as one of the best books of 2009) and The Magician King (also a Times bestseller). The books in the Magicians series have now been published in more than twenty countries, and screen rights were optioned by Twentieth Century Fox. In 2011, Grossman won the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer and in 2013 he was a finalist for the Nona Balakian Citation for Excellence in Reviewing. He is a senior writer and book critic for Time.
