As high schoolers in rural Bertie County, three current NC State students participated in a transformational experience – a design-and-build project led by designer-activists Emily Pilloton and Matthew Miller. This moving film offers a compelling and hopeful vision for a new kind of classroom in which students learn the tools to design their own futures. NC State student Colin White, one of the students featured in the film, will be on hand to talk to attendees.
