About This Event

Wearable electronics / eTextiles workshop
Sponsored by NCSU's Women in Science and Engineering (WISE)

In the spirit of the Do It Yourself, or DIY movement, the NCSU Libraries Makerspace and NCSU’s Women in Science and Engineering present a workshop focused on upgrading your daily life through technology.  In this session you'll learn how to combine electronics with textiles to create a unique wearable project. We'll teach you how to sew a circuit, and then you'll design and develop your own creative project. Throughout this session you'll gain practical knowledge about electronics prototyping, learn the basics of sewing by hand, and get hands-on experience working with conductive thread and electronic components.

This is a WISE program, but anyone (NCSU student, faculty, or staff) is welcome to attend.
