markup_validity is an open source Ruby gem for validating XHTML documents as part of automated testing. This allows for validation errors to be caught early. The contribution made to the project was adding validation of XHTML+RDFa to the library. Since RDFa is embedded in Historical State Search pages, we wanted an automated way to validate them. After making this contribution DLI staff member Jason Ronallo was added as a contributor to the project by the initial developer.
