Check Out Books at Other University Libraries

Current N.C. State students, faculty, and staff are entitled to check out books from libraries at any of the 16 campuses of the University of North Carolina and at Duke University in Durham.

Before you go to another university library, make sure you can log in to your Library Account. The libraries you visit may ask you to do this when you are there:

If you have any problems logging in, call the Circulation Desk at 919-515-3364, or call the Reference Desk toll-free at 1-877-601-0590 and ask to be transferred to the Circulation Desk.

When you go to a library at another university, take a picture ID and make sure you know your Borrower ID number. If you have any problems checking out books at another library, call the Circulation Desk at D.H. Hill Library:

  • Directly at 919-515-3364
  • Toll-free at 1-877-601-0590 (ask to be transferred to the Circulation Desk).

Don't forget that as an NCSU distance learner, you can get books and articles from any library delivered to your home or office
