Apply a Filter to a results list to narrow them on the basis of a range of a specific variable, for example, those that pay any officer, director, trustee or key employee more than $10,000.

Enter the NCCS Data Web. Click to accept the User Agreement.
Choose your subset database, for this example, the Digitzed Data - Officers v2005b subset.
If you have already requested permission to use the Digitized Data, click on the Extract icon, . Otherwise click on the Table icon, . The database will display the complete list of organizations in this category. (**This step may take a minute or two.** My search found 13878593 hits.)
Scroll to the bottom of the screen to the form and click on the Add a Filter Condition button just below the form. Click the Pick Variable button and select the radio button next to P5COMP - Compensation: salaries, bonuses, fees, & severance payments paid (col.C). Click on the Select button at the top (or bottom) of the popup window.
Leave the Operator set on Equal To; enter 10000 (count your zeroes) in the Value/Variable box and click OK.
Click on the Apply Filter button at the very bottom of the window.
Your search will return the requested subset (mine found 2772 people). Now sort by the name of the organization.

Note: You can also apply a filter after a search to further narrow your results.
