Lexis Nexis Powersearch for Polls & Surveys

To retrieve news stories that report on public opinion poll results:

1. Open LexisNexis Academic (NCSU Only).
2. Click on the PowerSearch tab toward the top of the screen.
3. Below the search box, click on the link to "Add keywords (Index Terms) to your search..."
4. In the Find Terms search box, enter "polls and surveys" and either click Find or your enter key.
5. Select the resulting index terms you want and at the bottom of the screen, click "OK--Add to Search".
6. You will automatically be returned to the search screen. Now enter the search terms related to your topic. The database will retrieve articles reporting on polls and surveys related to your topic.
