These sites lead to resources you can use in the classroom, from simple scripts that enable basic comparisons to full-blown class modules that include background, data and analysis tools.

Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT)

"MERLOT is a free and open resource designed primarily for faculty and students of higher education. Links to online learning materials are collected here along with annotations such as peer reviews and assignments." Very nice site with ratings by users, ability to build personal collections of resources, and extensive search capabilities. "Some materials in MERLOT are freely available for use by anyone; others have usage restrictions or costs. MERLOT does not impose or collect any regulations or fees associated with using a material." Check the resource's own web site (linked from MERLOT) for the most current information. Cross-disciplinary with coverage in broad subjects of Math and Statistics, and Science and Technology.

 

NASA's Learning Resources for Post-Secondary Educators

Clearinghouse page that links to listings of NASA's education programs, information to request a catalog of curriculum materials available for purchase, research tips to speed creation of your own materials, and contacts for further assistance.

 

Shodor Education Foundation, Inc.

This Durham, NC foundation is dedicated to promoting computational science education and provides curriculum materials; courses and resources for faculty development; and internships and workshops for students. Curriculum materials can be searched by grade level and subject (use Advanced Search to combine the two). Many of these tools can be used in a variety of disciplines.

Searchable archive of many materials for teaching quantitative social and behavioral science to foster the use of quantitative data in the classroom. Site has other resources including a listserv for the discussion of instruction issues.
