BacMap: An Interactive Atlas for Exploring Bacterial Genomes
http://wishart.biology.ualberta.ca/BacMap/
BacMap is a database containing hundreds of interactive maps of bacterial genomes. Maps are available for over 260 bacterial chromosomes. From Acinetobacter to Zymomonasmobilis. Additional information includes a synopsis of each bacterial species and charts illustrating the proteomic and genomic characteristics of each chromosome.

Bacteria Complete Chromosome List (NCBI)
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genomes/genlist.cgi? taxid=2&type=1&name=Bacteria%20Complete%20Chromosomes
A list of 334 sequenced bacterial genomes with links to records in the Taxonomy Browser. These records indicate the number of protein, genome, and gene sequences available with links to the data.

Comprehensive Microbial Resources (CMR; TIGR: The Institute for Genomic Research)
http://cmr.tigr.org/tigr-scripts/CMR/CmrHomePage.cgi
Provides access to all completed bacterial genome sequences (approx. 300). Annotations are provided by the originated sequencing center and by TIGR’s automated system. Genomes can be searched by organism name, taxonomy, and ID numbers from other data sources, including GenBank, Swiss-Prot, Pfam, and Interpro.

Integrated Microbial Genomes (IMG; DOE JGI: Joint Genome Institute)
http://img.jgi.doe.gov/cgi-bin/pub/main.cgi
IMG provides access to 699 finished and draft genomes, primarily those of bacteria and viruses, plus some genomes from Archaea and lower eukaryotes (fungi, yeast). Information in the database is drawn from several sources and is heavily reviewed, annotated, and linked to other data sources for gene, protein, and function information. Tools include a searchable genome database to access genome sequences, a chromosome viewer, and several tools for comparative genome analysis.

Microbial Genome Projects at the BCM HGSC (Human Genome Sequencing Center, Baylor College of Medicine)
http://www.hgsc.bcm.tmc.edu/projects/microbial/
Information and resources for 13 bacterial species: A. apis, B. pumilus, E. coli DH10B, E. faecium, F. nucleatum, F.tularensis, M. bovis, M. haemolytica, P.larvae, P.stewartii, R. typhi, T. denticola, T. pallidum. Each organism page includes a brief description, project details, literature citations, and the opportunity to do BLAST searches or download sequence data.

Retroviruses (NCBI)
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/retroviruses/
A collection of NCBI resources designed to support research on retroviruses. Includes links to 51 complete Retroviridae genomes and tools and resources for searching and analysis.

Viral Genomes (NCBI)
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genomes/VIRUSES/viruses.html
The collection of sequenced viral genome data includes 2333 Reference Sequences for 1609 viral genomes and 36 Reference Sequences for viroids. Can view a list of viral genome links alphabetically or grouped by taxonomy.
