EAC 795: Legal Issues in Training and Development
Statutes and Codes
Laws that are passed by a legislative body are issued in two types of
publications. One gives the text of laws in the chronological order in which
they are passed. The other type groups similar laws together by broad topic
and provides a "snapshot" of all the permanent laws of a political entity at a
given moment in time.
The titles given to the publications representative of these types of
resources are not consistent, and may be the cause of some confusion.
