- The Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland (RAI) is
the world's longest-established scholarly association dedicated to the
furtherance of anthropology (the study of humankind) in its broadest and most
inclusive sense.

American Cultural Resources
Association
- The ACRA's mission is to promote the professional, ethical and business
practices of the cultural resources industry, including all of its affiliated

the association.

American Folklife Center
- The American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress was created by
Congress in 1976 "to preserve and present American Folklife." The Center
incorporates the Archive of Folk Culture, which was established at the Library
in 1928 as a repository for American Folk Music.

- The first national museum dedicated to the preservation, study, and
exhibition of the life, languages, literature, history, and arts of Native
Americans, opening a new Washington museum in 2004.
