Firewall conflicts

Firewalls often block off-campus access to the Libraries' databases and e-journals.

NCSU Libraries uses a proxy server to allow off-campus access to licensed databases and e-journals. If you are behind a firewall and require access to NCSU Libraries resources, you or your network administrator will need to create a firewall rule that specifies the NCSU Libraries as a Trusted site.

Allow   www.lib.ncsu.edu   on the standard web port 80 and on ports 2048 and 2433. Also allow   sfx.lib.ncsu.edu   on port 9003.
