Overview (Summer 2005)

The NCSU Libraries’ needed to cut serials in 2005 and sought assistance frpm campus in reviewing the proposed titles. These proposed cancellations were driven by continuing and persistent inflation in the cost of scholarly journals and other electronic resources combined with a reduction of more than $250,000 in the Libraries' annual overhead allocation.  Using data collected over the past 5 years, Collection Management identified journal titles for possible cancellation.

The NCSU Libraries is committed to maintaining a collection of excellence that meets your research and learning needs. While we have made every effort to retain those titles deemed critical to research and teaching, this cancellation will be a loss for the collection and we will work with you to minimize the impact.
