Serials Cancellation Update--Fall 2002

The NCSU Libraries is facing loss of purchasing power due to the relentless escalation of serial prices. In order to compensate for the effects of an estimated inflation rate of 9% for journal and serial subscriptions, the Libraries will be forced to cancel approximately 650 titles. These titles have been identified over the last two years through a comprehensive review with faculty and students. The titles are listed both alphabetically and by subject in call number order. While we have made every effort to retain those titles deemed critical to research and teaching, this cancellation will be a substantial loss for the collection.
