Metadata and Cataloging Department
- Collaborate with the Head of Acquisitions to continue efforts at achieving better, more efficient collaboration - paying special attention to the rapid cataloging service and tighter integration in managing and describing serials and electronic resources.
- Bring more assertive management to the Dept.
- Address backlogged and lingering projects in a more timely and systematic manner,
- Review current reporting structures and make changes to enhance flexibility and meet emerging needs.
- Facilitate the growth of electronic resource capability across the department.
- Create a more proactive and solutions-oriented mindset in the department for participation in and contribution to Libraries-wide projects.
- Drive innovation in the description of the Libraries collections and systems designed for users to interact with the collections.
