Design Images Database Project Attributes List: NCSU Libraries

This non-prescriptive version of the Design attributes listing attempts only to categorize the terms used at the brainstorming session in the School of Design on 1 May 1998. The categories used here are primarily those from the Getty Information Institute's Art and Architecture Thesaurus. The column marked "Type" is equivalent to the "facets" of the AAT, with a few added for control ("Identification") and date fields. The AAT does not have facets for place or name, using instead their separate databases of geographic and personal names.
