Chemistry
SciFinder Scholar SciFinder Scholar provides access to several Chemical Abstracts Service databases, including Chemical Abstracts, Registry, CASREACT, CHEMLIST, and CHEMCAT. Users may search more than 19 million citations to the chemistry literature by topic, author, CAS Registry Numbers, patent number, and CAS abstract number. More than 22 million chemical substances may be searched by chemical name, chemical structure, CAS Registry Numbers, and formula. Users can also do substructure searching.
Beilstein/Gmelin Central to the Beilstein Database is the Beilsteins Handbuch der organische Chemie. Beilstein/Gmelin CrossFire allows searching, retrieving and displaying of organic and ingorganic chemical structures and data from either the Beilstein Database (organic) or Gmelin Database (inorganic). For further help with this database, see the PAMS reference wiki.
CHEMnetBASE Includes a wealth of chemical information from chemistry and chemical engineering reference works. Available via the Web, CHEMnetBASE includes information from the Combined Chemical Dictionary, The Handbook ofChemistry & Physics, Polymers: A Property Database, and Properties of Organic Compounds.
Derwent innovations index The Derwent Innovations Index, available through the ISI Web of Knowledge interface, is a Web-accessible product that merges the Derwent World Patents Index with the Derwent Patents Citation Index. It provides access to more than 14,800,000 patents with links to cited and citing patents, cited articles, and full-text patent data sources. This resource gives users a comprehensive and international overview of inventions in three categories: chemical, electrical and electronic, and engineering.
