Visiting the Facility
The Satellite Shelving Facility is operational Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. However, because of delivery schedules, staff are not always onsite, and the facility is not open to visitors continuously. Only registered library borrowers may make appointments to visit the facility.
Appointments made:
- by telephone to 919-513-7190
- by email to satellite@ncsu.edu.
Please specify the date and time you would like to visit the facility and the materials you wish to use at the facility (excluding Special Collections).
The facility offers a small reading room with tables and chairs, a computer workstation, and WolfCopy photocopier. Copies are 5 cents per page. All materials are retrieved by library staff and charged out to the requestor for use at the facility. Browsing of the collection is not allowed for safety reasons related to the compact shelving used at the facility. Please have your activated WolfCopy card with you if you plan to visit the facility and use the copier. Cards cannot be purchased or revalued at the facility. Microform readers/printers are not available at the facility, but they are available at D. H. Hill Library's Media/Microforms Center.
