Themes & templates

Change the look of your Weblog with themes and templates.
Working with templates requires some familiarity with HTML.

1. Changing your theme
  • Go to 'Preferences' > 'Theme'.
  • Select a new theme in the drop-down menu.

    selecting a theme from the drop down menu will preview how your weblog will look. If you like it, click on save to make your weblog look like the preview.
2. Customize an existing template
  • Once you've selected and saved a theme, click on 'Customize'.

    To modify an existing template for a theme, click on customize under the preferences and theme tab.
3. Edit components of the template
  • Customize the components of the template by clicking on the 'Edit' links.
  • The 'Add a Template' option allows you to create a new component to to the weblog template.

    Click on the edit link to customize each component of the template.
4. Editing the template may require some familiarity with HTML
  • The edit page for the sidebar component of the template looks like this:

    The sidebar template edit page shows the html markup used to render the sidebar content in a webrowser.
5. Managing a weblog can be a lot of work. Try collaborating with your colleagues and friends.
